Recipe - Postpartum Vegetable Stew

Average Read Time: 2-3 minutes

This soup is one of my absolute favorites. I make it monthly and bring it to every postpartum visit I go to! I hope you find this recipe delicious and warming, whether you’re postpartum or not!

One of the main reasons that I love this soup is that it’s filled with fiber! Pooping after birthing a baby (regardless of vaginal or cesarean birth) can be a real challenge. • Lower risk of hemorrhoids (a common side effect of pregnancy and birth)

  • Lower risk of constipation (you just birthed a baby, we don’t need to add to your discomfort!)

  • Lower blood pressure (this is especially important if you experienced hypertension or pre-eclampsia during labor, delivery and early postpartum)

  • Reducing swelling (this is a common side effect of labor, especially if you had IV fluids hydrating you!)

Plus, this soup is delicious! If yoa
